TORL-2-307

TORL-2-307 is an investigational antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) and monoclonal antibody targeting claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2), a protein highly expressed in certain cancers such as gastric, pancreatic, esophageal, and other gastrointestinal tumors[5][6][8]. The drug consists of a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody that binds specifically to CLDN18.2 on tumor cells; upon binding and internalization, the cytotoxic payload is released inside the cancer cell, leading to cell death[1][3][6]. The precise mechanism of cytotoxicity remains undisclosed but is believed to involve direct killing of CLDN18.2-expressing tumor cells[1][6]. Developed by TORL Biotherapeutics, it is currently being evaluated in phase I clinical trials for advanced solid tumors including gastric cancer, pancreatic cancer, esophageal cancer, adenocarcinoma, and other gastrointestinal cancers[5][6][8].
