Overview

Total coumarins of Pileostegia tomentella (TCPT) is a natural product extract derived from a traditional folk medicine of the Yao minority. It is being investigated as a potential anti-cancer mixture for Small-cell lung cancer (SCLC). Its mechanism of action involves inducing cell death in SCLC by reprogramming metabolic patterns, possibly through attenuating the activity of β-catenin, AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), and Sirtuin 1 (SIRT1).
