Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Total Flavonoids of Lysimachia christinae Capsules is a botanical drug product derived from the herb *Lysimachia christinae* Hance, commonly known as Jin Qian Cao in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The capsules contain a concentrated fraction of total flavonoids extracted from the plant, which are believed to exert litholytic (stone-dissolving) and lithagogic (stone-expelling) effects. The therapeutic mechanism involves a combination of diuretic activity, relaxation of ureteral smooth muscle to facilitate stone passage, and anti-inflammatory properties to reduce tissue irritation caused by calculi. It is primarily utilized in China for the treatment of urolithiasis, including renal and bladder stones, and is specifically being evaluated in clinical trials for promoting the expulsion of residual renal stones following percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL).
