Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Total glycosides of rehmannia glutinosa leaves is a traditional Chinese medicine preparation derived from the leaves of Rehmannia glutinosa. It is used for its effects in nourishing yin and tonifying the kidney, cooling blood, and promoting blood circulation. The main clinical indication is mild chronic glomerulonephritis with symptoms such as proteinuria, hematuria, fatigue, weakness, hot palms and soles (hand-foot heat), lumbago (back pain), edema (swelling), dry mouth and throat, dizziness or tinnitus (ringing in the ears), red tongue with little coating or weak pulse[2][4][5]. The drug contains multiple bioactive compounds including catalpols and acteoside-like substances.
