Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TSW (Total Saponins from Wild-Simulated American Ginseng) is a natural extract derived from wild-simulated American ginseng. It has demonstrated protective effects against chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) by alleviating oxidative stress and inflammatory responses. TSW has shown a stronger therapeutic effect compared to total saponins from field-grown American ginseng (TSF). Its efficacy is attributed to a combination of active compounds, including ginsenoside Rgl, Rc, oleanolic acid, notoginsenoside R1, Fe, and silphioside B, which contribute to its anti-COPD activity.
