Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**TOVAx** is a preclinical recombinant protein vaccine program from PAI Life Sciences for prevention of onchocerciasis, also known as river blindness, caused by *Onchocerca volvulus*. The vaccine approach uses the parasite-derived recombinant antigens Ov-103 and Ov-RAL-2 to elicit protective antigen-specific immune responses, including antibody-mediated activity against infective larvae. PAI Life Sciences is developing the program with the Onchocerciasis Vaccine for Africa Initiative. ([pailifesciences.com](https://pailifesciences.com/pipeline/onchocerciasis/))
