Overview

Tovecimig is an investigational bispecific antibody designed to simultaneously block Delta-like ligand 4 (DLL4) and vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A) signaling pathways. These pathways are critical for angiogenesis and tumor vascularization. By inhibiting both DLL4 and VEGF-A, tovecimig acts as a dual angiogenesis inhibitor with the potential for robust anti-tumor activity across several solid tumors. The drug has demonstrated efficacy in patients with advanced biliary tract cancer (BTC), particularly those who have progressed after first-line chemotherapy. Tovecimig is being developed by Compass Therapeutics in collaboration with ABL Bio and other partners. It is currently being evaluated in Phase II/III trials for BTC and Phase II trials for colorectal cancer[1][2][3][5][6].
