Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Toxiphage Forte is an oral prebiotic and probiotic formulation developed by Biokindle Lifesciences to reduce the accumulation of uremic toxins in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). The formulation contains 90 billion CFU of three probiotic strains—Bifidobacterium longum, Lactobacillus acidophilus, and Streptococcus thermophilus—along with the prebiotic fructooligosaccharides (FOS). These probiotics utilize and metabolize nitrogenous waste products such as urea, creatinine, uric acid, p-cresyl sulfate, and indoxyl sulfate as nutrients, thereby facilitating their clearance from the bloodstream via the intestinal tract and slowing the progression of CKD. Toxiphage Forte is also used to support overall gut health, manage digestive disorders like diarrhea and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and boost immune function.
