Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TP-0903 is an orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor of the AXL receptor tyrosine kinase. Developed by Tolero Pharmaceuticals (a subsidiary of Sumitomo Pharma), it is designed to target the AXL signaling pathway, which is frequently upregulated in various malignancies and associated with poor prognosis, epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT), and resistance to chemotherapy and targeted therapies. TP-0903 acts as a prodrug that is converted into its active form, which potently inhibits AXL phosphorylation and downstream signaling. Beyond oncology, research suggests potential applications in treating neuropathic pain by modulating AXL expression in the dorsal root ganglion.
