Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TP03HN106 is a recombinant human pro-urokinase (rhPro-UK) thrombolytic agent developed by Tianjin Tasly Pharmaceutical Group. It functions as a plasminogen activator, specifically converting plasminogen into the active enzyme plasmin, which then degrades fibrin within blood clots to restore blood flow. TP03HN106 is currently being investigated in Phase 2 clinical trials for the treatment of critical limb ischemia (CLI), a severe form of peripheral arterial disease characterized by chronic resting pain, ulcers, and gangrene. The drug aims to provide a therapeutic option for thrombolysis in patients at risk of amputation due to arterial occlusion. The same active ingredient, rhPro-UK, is already approved in China under the brand name Puyi for the treatment of acute myocardial infarction and is in late-stage development for stroke and pulmonary embolism.
