Overview

TP1001 is a cannabinoid-based pharmaceutical candidate developed by Tetra Pharm Technologies, currently in Phase 1 clinical development for the treatment of nausea and vomiting, specifically chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV). The drug is formulated using Tetra Pharm's proprietary drug delivery technology, which is designed to optimize the bioavailability and absorption of cannabinoids. TP1001 acts as an agonist at the cannabinoid receptors (CB1 and CB2) within the endocannabinoid system. By targeting these receptors, particularly those in the central nervous system and gastrointestinal tract, the drug aims to suppress the neural pathways and physiological responses that trigger emesis.
