Overview

TPA3 is a trans-platinum planar amine carboxylate compound, part of a class of platinum-based antitumor agents. It has demonstrated cytotoxic activity and metabolic stability, outperforming cisplatin in some aspects after pre-incubation with serum. TPA3 induces DNA structural perturbation and exhibits micromolar cytotoxic activity with minimal DNA binding. In preclinical studies, TPA3 has shown prolonged survival and decreased tumor burden in a human ovarian cancer mouse model.
