This is a combination therapy consisting of the TPC chemotherapy regimen (nab-paclitaxel, cisplatin, and capecitabine) together with apatinib (a small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting VEGFR-2) and camrelizumab (a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting PD-1). The combination is being studied for its efficacy and safety in high-risk regionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Nab-paclitaxel disrupts microtubule function; cisplatin forms DNA crosslinks leading to apoptosis; capecitabine is a prodrug of 5-fluorouracil inhibiting DNA synthesis. Apatinib inhibits angiogenesis by blocking VEGFR-2 signaling. Camrelizumab blocks the PD-1 immune checkpoint pathway, enhancing anti-tumor immune responses[2][4][3][6].
