Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TPE-1 is a compound herbal formula developed by Taipei City Hospital as a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) decoction. It is specifically designed to treat leukopenia (low white blood cell count) and cancer-related fatigue in breast cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy. Unlike direct anti-cancer agents, TPE-1 functions by invigorating Qi and strengthening the body's resistance (immunity) according to TCM principles. It has been evaluated in a Phase 2/3 clinical trial (NCT01142479) to assess its efficacy and safety in patients who have completed chemotherapy and are receiving radiation treatment.
