Overview

TPI 287 + bevacizumab is a combination therapy consisting of TPI 287, a blood-brain barrier penetrant microtubule stabilizer, and bevacizumab, an anti-angiogenic agent. TPI 287 is a third-generation taxane designed to evade P-glycoprotein mediated efflux, allowing it to reach high concentrations in the brain. This combination has been investigated primarily for the treatment of recurrent glioblastoma multiforme (rGBM), showing promising efficacy with median progression-free survival of 5.5 months and overall survival of 13.4 months in clinical trials.
