Overview

TPPU is a potent and selective small molecule inhibitor of soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH), an enzyme involved in the metabolism of endogenous epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (EETs). By inhibiting sEH, TPPU increases EET levels, which are associated with anti-inflammatory, vasodilatory, and cardioprotective effects. Preclinical studies have shown that TPPU can attenuate high-fat diet-induced cardiovascular and metabolic disorders in animal models. It is primarily used as a research tool to study the role of sEH in various diseases including inflammation, cardiovascular disease, and metabolic syndrome[1][3][4][8].
