Overview

TPST-4003 is a preclinical-stage, dual-targeting chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy being developed for the treatment of various cancers. Originally developed by Factor Bioscience and acquired by Tempest Therapeutics in February 2026, the asset is designed to express CARs that recognize two distinct tumor-associated antigens. This dual-targeting approach is intended to enhance the precision of the immune response, increase therapeutic efficacy, and mitigate the risk of tumor antigen escape, which is a common resistance mechanism in single-target CAR-T therapies. The program represents a strategic expansion for Tempest into the cell therapy domain.
