Overview

TPX-105 is an autologous cell therapy consisting of expanded human dermal fibroblasts, developed by the South Korean biotechnology company Tego Science. It is specifically designed for the aesthetic correction of the nasojugal groove, commonly referred to as the tear trough deformity. The therapeutic process involves harvesting a small skin sample from the patient, isolating the fibroblasts, and expanding them in a controlled laboratory environment before re-injecting the concentrated cells into the patient's nasojugal area. Once administered, these fibroblasts are intended to integrate into the dermal tissue and stimulate the natural production of collagen and other extracellular matrix components. This approach aims to restore volume and improve skin elasticity in the periorbital region, providing a biocompatible and potentially longer-lasting alternative to synthetic dermal fillers, which carry risks of displacement or granulomatous reactions.
