TPX-107 is an autologous cell therapy composed of cultured corneal cells, developed by Tego Science for the treatment of corneal defects. The therapy involves the ex vivo expansion of a patient's own corneal cells, which are then transplanted to the site of the defect to promote regeneration of the corneal epithelium and restore ocular surface integrity. This approach is typically utilized for patients with severe corneal surface injuries or limbal stem cell deficiency where the eye's natural regenerative capacity is compromised. As an autologous treatment, it minimizes the risk of immune rejection by using the patient's own biological material.
