Overview

TPX-121 is an allogeneic cell therapy consisting of cultured dermal fibroblasts, developed by Tego Science for the aesthetic treatment of facial wrinkles, specifically hypoplastic nasolabial folds. The therapy functions by replenishing the fibroblast population in the dermal layer, which in turn promotes the synthesis of essential extracellular matrix components such as collagen and elastin to restore skin structure and volume. While Tego Science's pipeline categorizes TPX-121 as being in preclinical development for wrinkles, clinical trial evidence (NCT06533540) indicates that the associated allogeneic fibroblast product, TPX-115, is being evaluated in Phase 1 trials for nasolabial folds. Efficacy in these studies is typically measured using standardized scales including the Wrinkle Severity Rating Scale (WSRS) and the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS).
