TQ-1004 is an experimental *in vivo* chimeric autoantibody receptor (CAAR) T-cell therapy being developed by TQ Therapeutics for the treatment of neurological disorders. Utilizing the company's proprietary EXiVO platform, the therapy is designed to generate CAAR-T cells directly within the patient's body. Unlike traditional CAR-T cells that target surface antigens, CAAR-T cells are engineered to specifically target and eliminate B cells that produce pathogenic autoantibodies, which are implicated in various autoimmune-driven neurological conditions. This approach aims to provide a more targeted and potentially safer alternative to systemic immunosuppression by selectively depleting the disease-causing B-cell population.
