Overview

TQ-A3334 is a selective, oral small molecule agonist of toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7) being developed for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B (CHB). By activating TLR7, TQ-A3334 induces the production of cytokines and chemokines such as interferon-alpha (IFN-α) and IFN-inducible protein-10 (IP-10), which are believed to help inhibit hepatitis B virus replication. Clinical studies have shown that TQ-A3334 is rapidly absorbed after oral administration, with pharmacodynamic activity observed at doses ranging from 1.0 to 1.8 mg. The drug has demonstrated safety and tolerability in healthy volunteers, with common adverse events including decreased lymphocyte count and headache—effects consistent with its mechanism as a TLR7 agonist[1][2][3][5]. Sino Biopharmaceutical is developing this agent primarily for chronic hepatitis B[7].
