Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TQA3729 is an orally bioavailable small molecule agonist of Toll-like receptor 8 (TLR8) developed by Jiangsu Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B (CHB). By selectively activating TLR8, the drug induces the production of endogenous cytokines such as IL-12 and TNF-α from myeloid cells, which in turn stimulates innate and adaptive immune responses to promote the clearance of HBV-infected cells. It is currently being investigated in Phase 2 clinical trials as a potential component of a functional cure regimen for patients with CHB.
