Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TQB2440 is a biosimilar of pertuzumab, a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the extracellular dimerization domain of the HER2 (ERBB2) tyrosine kinase receptor. By binding to HER2, it inhibits receptor dimerization and downstream signaling pathways involved in cell proliferation and survival. TQB2440 is being developed primarily for the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer, particularly in early or locally advanced settings. It has demonstrated equivalent efficacy and safety to reference pertuzumab (Perjeta) in clinical trials when used in combination with trastuzumab and docetaxel as part of neoadjuvant or adjuvant therapy regimens[2][3][5][6][7]. The drug is developed by Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Group, a subsidiary of Sino Biopharmaceutical.
