Overview

This combination therapy consists of three agents: TQB2440, a biosimilar to pertuzumab; trastuzumab; and docetaxel. TQB2440 is a humanized recombinant monoclonal antibody that targets the extracellular dimerization domain of the HER2 tyrosine kinase receptor, inhibiting HER2 signaling and tumor cell proliferation. Trastuzumab is another monoclonal antibody targeting the HER2 receptor but binds to a different epitope than pertuzumab/TQB2440. Docetaxel is a small molecule chemotherapeutic agent that stabilizes microtubules and inhibits cell division. This combination is being developed primarily for the treatment of HER2-positive early or locally advanced breast cancer[1][4][5][8]. The regimen leverages dual anti-HER2 blockade with chemotherapy to enhance antitumor activity.
