Overview

TQB2618 is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the inhibitory T-cell receptor known as T-cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain-containing protein 3 (TIM-3, also called HAVCR2). By binding to TIM-3, it acts as an immune checkpoint inhibitor with potential antineoplastic activity. The drug is designed to enhance anti-tumor immune responses by blocking TIM-3-mediated inhibition of T lymphocytes, thereby promoting their activation and cytotoxicity against cancer cells. It is being developed primarily for the treatment of various cancers, including nasopharyngeal carcinoma, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, lymphoma, acute myeloid leukemia, colorectal cancer, liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma), myelodysplastic syndromes, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), melanoma, and other solid tumors. The developer is Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Group[1][3][4][6].
