Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TQB2868 + nab-paclitaxel + gemcitabine is an investigational combination regimen being evaluated for the first-line treatment of metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (mPDAC). The regimen combines TQB2868, a novel bifunctional fusion protein targeting programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and neutralizing transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β), with the standard-of-care cytotoxic chemotherapies nab-paclitaxel (nanoparticle albumin-bound paclitaxel) and gemcitabine. TQB2868 is designed to simultaneously block the PD-1/PD-L1 immune checkpoint pathway and remodel the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment by neutralizing TGF-β. Nab-paclitaxel stabilizes microtubules to inhibit cell division, while gemcitabine acts as a nucleoside analog that inhibits DNA synthesis. Developed by Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Group (a subsidiary of Sino Biopharmaceutical), this combination is currently undergoing Phase II clinical evaluation to improve outcomes in patients with advanced pancreatic malignancies.
