Overview

TQB2916 is a humanized immunoglobulin G2 (IgG2) monoclonal antibody that acts as an agonist of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 5 (CD40). By binding to CD40 on target cells, it activates downstream signaling pathways and stimulates anti-tumor immune responses. This includes promoting antibody-dependent cell cytotoxicity and stimulating T lymphocytes. Preclinical studies have shown that it can induce apoptosis in B-cell lymphoma cells. The drug is being developed primarily for the treatment of solid tumors, including soft tissue sarcoma and melanoma, often in combination with chemotherapy or other immunotherapies such as penpulimab (a PD-1 inhibitor). The developer is Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Group[1][2][3].
