Overview

TQB2928 is a monoclonal antibody that acts as an immune checkpoint inhibitor. It functions by blocking the interaction between the leukocyte surface antigen CD47 and signal regulatory protein alpha (SIRPα), disrupting the 'don't eat me' signal used by cancer cells to evade phagocytosis. This enhances antitumor immune responses by promoting macrophage-mediated phagocytosis of tumor cells and potentially enhancing adaptive immune responses against cancer. It is being developed by Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Group for various hematologic malignancies and solid tumors, including acute myeloid leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, osteosarcoma, lymphoma, and non-small cell lung cancer. TQB2928 is currently in early-phase clinical trials (Phase 1/Ib) as both monotherapy and in combination with other agents such as anlotinib or azacitidine.
