TQB3728 is an orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor of apoptosis proteins (IAPs), specifically acting as a SMAC-mimetic. It antagonizes members of the IAP family, including XIAP and cIAP1/cIAP2, leading to the induction of apoptosis in cancer cells. The drug is being developed for its potential antineoplastic activity and has been evaluated in clinical trials for various solid tumors, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), ovarian cancer (platinum-resistant), squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck, thyroid cancer, and locally advanced non-small cell lung carcinoma. Clinical studies have shown that TQB3728 is well tolerated at doses up to 600 mg but with limited anti-tumor activity observed so far[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8].
