TQB3823 is an orally bioavailable, small molecule inhibitor of the nuclear enzymes poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase 1 and 2 (PARP1/2), developed for its potential antineoplastic activity. By selectively binding to and inhibiting PARP-1 and PARP-2, TQB3823 prevents DNA repair in cancer cells, leading to cell death and potentially delaying or blocking tumor development. Preclinical studies have shown that TQB3823 is a potent and selective PARP inhibitor with anti-tumor activity in BRCA-deficient cancer models, where it inhibits the proliferation of BRCA mutant cells while sparing wild-type cells. The drug is being developed primarily for solid tumors, including those with BRCA mutations such as breast cancer. It is currently under clinical investigation for advanced malignant tumors and castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC).
