TQC2938

TQC2938 is a humanized IgG2 monoclonal antibody that targets ST2, also known as the interleukin-33 receptor (IL-33R). By specifically binding to human ST2, TQC2938 blocks its interaction with IL-33 ligands and inhibits the ST2/IL-33 signaling pathway. This action reduces the production of downstream Th2 cytokines such as IL-4, IL-5, and IL-13 and lowers levels of eosinophils and other inflammatory cells. The result is a reduction in airway inflammation associated with asthma and potentially other respiratory diseases. Preclinical studies have shown significant improvement in disease symptoms. The drug is being developed primarily for moderate to severe asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) by Sino Biopharmaceutical, Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Group, and Nanjing Shunxin Pharmaceutical.
