TQC3301

TQC3301 is an inhaled formulation of budesonide, a potent synthetic glucocorticoid corticosteroid, being developed by Chia Tai Tianqing for the treatment of asthma. As a glucocorticoid receptor agonist, budesonide exerts anti-inflammatory effects by binding to the glucocorticoid receptor, which subsequently inhibits the expression of pro-inflammatory genes and reduces the recruitment of inflammatory cells in the airways. TQC3301 is specifically designed as an inhalation spray, and its clinical development includes Phase 1 studies evaluating its safety, pharmacokinetics, and lung deposition in healthy volunteers, often in comparison to established budesonide dry powder inhalers.
