TQS-621

TQS-621 is an oral small molecule therapeutic being developed by Endurance Bio (formerly Tranquis Therapeutics) for the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders, aging, metabolic disorders, and other non-orphan indications. As Tranquis's second drug candidate, TQS-621 is designed to modulate PGC-1α (peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma coactivator 1-alpha) to restore normal cell homeostasis and function, particularly targeting myeloid cell metabolic dysfunction. The drug is part of a platform approach aimed at addressing conditions characterized by mitochondrial dysfunction and immuno-inflammation, including neurodegeneration and immunosenescence. As of early 2023, TQS-621 was in IND-enabling studies with plans to enter clinical development.
