Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TR-301 is a preclinical-stage dual amylin and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist being developed by Terrestrial Bio (formerly Vaxess Technologies) for the treatment of obesity. The drug is delivered via a proprietary silk-based microarray patch (MAP) technology, which allows for transdermal administration of biologics. By targeting both the amylin and GLP-1 receptors, TR-301 aims to leverage synergistic effects on appetite suppression and glycemic control. The MAP delivery system is designed to provide a convenient, shelf-stable, and potentially more tolerable alternative to traditional subcutaneous injections.
