TR284

TR284 is a small molecule inhibitor of **Ubiquitin-specific-processing protease 7 (USP7)**, currently under development by **Tarapeutics Pharmaceutical Science**. USP7 is a deubiquitinating enzyme that plays a critical role in regulating the stability of various proteins involved in tumor suppression and DNA repair, most notably the p53-MDM2 axis. By inhibiting USP7, TR284 facilitates the degradation of MDM2, an E3 ubiquitin ligase that normally targets p53 for destruction. This leads to the stabilization and activation of the tumor suppressor protein p53, which in turn triggers cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in cancer cells. TR284 is being investigated as a targeted therapy for the treatment of various solid tumors.
