Overview

TR4 is a highly selective β2-adrenergic receptor antagonist developed by Trio Medicines Ltd. It is a small molecule drug designed to block the β2-adrenergic receptor, which distinguishes it from currently available beta-blockers that are either selective for the β1-adrenergic receptor or non-selective. Preclinical studies suggest that selective inhibition of the β2-adrenergic receptor may offer therapeutic benefits in chronic heart failure, chronic asthma, and potentially pancreatic cancer. The drug is currently in Phase 2 clinical trials for asthma and heart failure[1][2].
