TRAB360

TRAB360 is a bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) antibody candidate developed by Transcenta Holding, specifically engineered to target Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2) and the CD3 receptor on T cells. CLDN18.2 is a highly selective lineage-specific marker frequently overexpressed in various solid tumors, particularly gastric, gastroesophageal junction, and pancreatic adenocarcinomas, while remaining largely absent in healthy tissues except for gastric mucosa. TRAB360 functions by cross-linking tumor cells expressing CLDN18.2 with cytotoxic T cells, thereby inducing T-cell activation, cytokine release, and subsequent lysis of the tumor cells. This mechanism bypasses the need for traditional MHC-mediated antigen presentation, potentially overcoming common tumor escape mechanisms such as MHC downregulation.
