Overview

Trabikibart (CSL311) is a fully human monoclonal antibody developed to target the common beta chain (βc or CD131) shared by the interleukin-3 (IL-3), granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), and interleukin-5 (IL-5) receptors. By binding to a unique epitope on the βc receptor with high affinity, trabikibart acts as a potent antagonist of these cytokines’ signaling pathways. This mechanism enables it to suppress pro-inflammatory activities mediated by eosinophils and other myeloid cells implicated in diseases such as asthma and potentially severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Trabikibart is being developed primarily for inflammatory airway diseases where βc cytokines play a central pathogenic role[2][3][5][9].
