Tracitrans plus

Tracitrans plus is a sterile, concentrated intravenous solution of essential trace elements developed by Fresenius Kabi. It is designed to supplement parenteral nutrition in adult patients, providing the daily basal to moderately increased requirements of essential trace elements. The formulation contains nine essential trace elements: zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, iron, fluorine, iodine, chromium, and molybdenum, formulated as their respective salts (zinc chloride, copper chloride dihydrate, manganese chloride tetrahydrate, sodium selenite, ferric chloride hexahydrate, sodium fluoride, potassium iodide, chromic chloride hexahydrate, and sodium molybdate dihydrate). In clinical research, Tracitrans plus has been evaluated as part of a supportive parenteral nutrition regimen alongside chemotherapy (such as the OFF regimen consisting of oxaliplatin, folinic acid, and 5-fluorouracil) in patients with advanced pancreatic adenocarcinoma, notably in the Phase IIIb PANUSCO trial conducted by the University of Heidelberg.
