Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Trailokya Vijaya Vati is a classical Ayurvedic formulation primarily composed of equal parts of *Cannabis sativa* (Vijaya) dried leaves and *Bambusa arundinacea* (Vanshlochan/bamboo manna). It is traditionally used in Ayurveda as an "Aashukari" (fast-acting) medicine that acts on motor neurons (Vaat-Vaahini Naadi) to provide rapid relief from chronic pain, joint pain, muscular spasms, sciatica, and neuropathic pain. Additionally, it is utilized to manage anxiety, stress, insomnia, seizures, and gastrointestinal issues like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and diarrhea. The cannabinoids (such as THC and CBD) present in the *Cannabis sativa* component act as agonists on cannabinoid CB1 and CB2 receptors to mediate its analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and anxiolytic effects.
