Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Transforming growth factor beta 1** is a recombinant form of the human multifunctional cytokine TGF-β1 being developed by Cellumed, an InscoBi subsidiary, as a locally implanted tissue-engineering graft material for **knee cartilage regeneration**. Local TGF-β1 delivery is intended to activate TGF-β receptor signaling in cartilage-repair cells, promoting chondrogenesis and extracellular-matrix production to support repair of damaged articular cartilage. The Cellumed program is reported as preclinical.
