Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TN-001 is a topical ophthalmic drug candidate being developed by TheiaNova for the treatment of progressive keratoconus. It is a combination of two active ingredients: recombinant human transforming growth factor beta-3 (TGF-β3) and dexamethasone sodium phosphate. The therapy works by transiently activating developmental pathways to induce corneal keratocytes to re-express embryonic collagen phenotypes and secrete new collagen. This regenerative process is intended to restore the biomechanical strength of the corneal stroma, thereby halting the progression of keratoconus. TN-001 is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1/2 clinical trial (NCT07388069) in Australia.
