Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Transition Bio is developing a small molecule inhibitor targeting an unspecified transcription factor for the treatment of various cancers. Identified as 'Oncology Target 5' in the company's pipeline, this program leverages Transition Bio's proprietary Condensomics™ platform. This technology integrates high-throughput droplet microfluidics with machine learning and artificial intelligence to analyze and drug biomolecular condensates and intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs). Many transcription factors rely on intrinsically disordered regions to form functional condensates that drive oncogenic gene expression. By utilizing small molecules to disrupt these processes, the program aims to provide a novel therapeutic approach for oncology. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
