Overview
Trastuzumab conjugate (BI-CON-02) is an antibody-drug conjugate developed by BioIntegrator for the treatment of HER2-positive cancers, including metastatic breast cancer. It consists of trastuzumab, a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2/ERBB2), chemically linked to a cytotoxic payload. The mechanism of action involves binding to HER2 on tumor cells, leading to inhibition of HER2-mediated signaling and targeted delivery of the cytotoxic agent, resulting in immunomodulating and antineoplastic effects. BI-CON-02 was investigated in phase 1 clinical trials for patients with HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer who had previously been treated with trastuzumab[1][2][3].
