Overview

Traumeel S is a multi-component homeopathic complex preparation widely used for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal injuries, orthopedic procedures, and post-surgical recovery. It consists of a fixed combination of 12 botanical substances (including *Arnica montana*, *Calendula officinalis*, *Hamamelis virginiana*, *Echinacea*, *Chamomilla*, *Symphytum officinale*, *Bellis perennis*, *Hypericum perforatum*, *Achillea millefolium*, *Aconitum napellus*, and *Atropa belladonna*) and two mineral substances (*Hepar sulfuris calcareum* and *Mercurius solubilis Hahnemanni*) at various homeopathic dilutions. The mechanism of action is thought to involve the modulation of the inflammatory response, specifically through the inhibition of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin-6 (IL-6) and C-reactive protein (CRP), and the potential stimulation of anti-inflammatory pathways. It is available in various formulations, including tablets, ointment, gel, and solution for injection or irrigation.
