Trayodashang Guggulu is a traditional Ayurvedic polyherbal formulation primarily used for the management of musculoskeletal and neurological disorders, including sciatica, paralysis, and osteoarthritis. The name "Trayodashang" refers to its thirteen primary herbal ingredients, which are combined with Guggulu (Commiphora mukul) resin. It is recognized for its anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and anti-arthritic properties. In clinical research, such as the HEAL-KOA trial conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jodhpur, it is being evaluated as part of an integrated or standalone Ayurvedic care regimen for early knee osteoarthritis to reduce pain and improve joint function. The formulation is believed to work by balancing the 'Vata' dosha and inhibiting pro-inflammatory mediators.
