TRB-001

TRB-001 is an investigational active immunotherapy (vaccine) being developed by Tridem Bioscience for the treatment of early idiopathic Parkinson's disease. It is designed to stimulate the patient's immune system to produce specific antibodies against pathological aggregates of alpha-synuclein, a protein that plays a central role in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease and other synucleinopathies. By targeting and promoting the clearance of these toxic protein species, TRB-001 aims to modify the course of the disease rather than just managing symptoms. The drug is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1b randomized, placebo-controlled, dose-finding trial in Austria to assess its safety, tolerability, immunogenicity, and pharmacodynamic effects in patients with early-stage disease.
