TRC205 is a humanized, deimmunized monoclonal antibody targeting endoglin (CD105, ENG), a TGF-β co-receptor highly expressed on activated endothelial cells and fibrogenic cells, that is being developed primarily for the treatment of fibrotic diseases such as nonalcoholic steatohepatitis and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.[1][12] As a second-generation endoglin antibody derived from the TRC105 program, TRC205 is designed to modulate endoglin-mediated signaling implicated in pathological fibrosis, with the goal of reducing excessive extracellular matrix deposition and organ scarring; to date, it has demonstrated activity in preclinical models of fibrosis, including nonalcoholic steatohepatitis.[1][3][11][12]
