Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TRCS CPRV is an inactivated cell culture-purified rabies vaccine (CPRV) developed and manufactured by the Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute (QSMI) of the Thai Red Cross Society, in collaboration with BioNet-Asia and Liaoning Cheng Da Biotechnology. It is produced using purified cell culture technology and is indicated for both pre-exposure and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) against rabies virus infection. The vaccine is widely distributed in Thailand and ASEAN countries. Beyond its clinical use for prevention, it is the subject of immunological research investigating the effects of frequent booster vaccinations on immune memory and tolerance, specifically monitoring regulatory T cells, B cells, and neutralizing antibody titers to ensure long-term efficacy and safety in populations requiring frequent immunization.
